Dufton - North Pennines
 26 - 28 April 2002

We met in the Stag Inn Dufton on Friday night. Saturday we set off fairly early for the Northumbria Group taking the Pennine Way, then cutting up Great Rundle Beck, through the old mine workings. We had lunch in a shooting hut which appears to be left open most of the time. During lunch it snowed briefly. We headed over Dufton Fell, arriving at a pitch on the Force Burn at 3.30pm. The terrain had been very hard going; luckily the wind had been blowing on our backs. On Sunday we headed back over Meldon Hill., picking up the Pennine Way on the Maize Beck.
