The Saunders Lakeland Mountain Marathon

The Saunders Lakeland Mountain Marathon is an annual event held every year in the Lake District. Members of the Backpackers Club have been providing marshals for the numerous check points for a number of years. This year the event was held in the north east area of the Lakes. The check point occupied by the Northumbria group was  near Haweswater. The pictures below give a flavour of the experience.
