19 - 21 November 2004

We had the camp-site at Scarr Head Farm, Torver to ourselves - their last weekend of the year before they close for the winter.  Ross, Paul, Graeme & Jon headed over Buck Pike, Dow Crag, Swirl How & Great Carrs, pitching in the Greenburn valley. Return route on Sunday in foul weather, skirted around the bottom of Wetherlam & Furness Fells & back on the Walna Scarr Road before dropping back down to Torver.
John, Bryan & Joe went up The Old Man of Coniston via Goats Water & then down to pitch at Low Water.
The weather was clear but cold on Saturday with a recorded temperature of -8ºC in Paul's tent on Saturday night! Sunday was a miserable day - low cloud & rain.
Ross, Graeme & Jon celebrated the first 'white' weekend of the winter season with an all day breakfast at the Stock Gyhll cafe in Ambleside
