It’s no accident that the Buff is there, this is the commemorative one produced for the 35th year Backpackers Club meet at Bellingham, and the pub is home to social meetings of Northumbria Backpackers, held each first Tuesday of the month.

Local Club organiser Bryan Crick says it’s an indication of how the local group work to promote the activity . ."and we are always pleased to see people joining us backpackers at The Bridge".
