Cross Fell
24 - 25 March 2007

(Photos: Jonathan Lane)

We started walking on the Saturday morning from Garrigill heading towards Alston along the river on the Pennine Way. We then walked along the road for a short way to get to the Maiden's Way stopping for lunch at the bothy known as Melmerby Shop. Pitched near Teeshead to the east of Crossfell.

This looked like an old mine - it was very deep
