The 36th Annual General Meeting of the Backpacker's Club took place in Ashford by the Water, Derbyshire. About two hundred members attended and there were many casual visitors to the various trade stands. After the AGM the Edale Mountain Rescue Team gave a very interesting talk about their work. Luckily the weather was very good on the Saturday while Sunday, as had been forecast, turned out to be wet.
